Meloset® is manufactured by Aristo Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd.
Meloset® tablets effectively treat sleep disturbances like jet lag, difficulty in falling asleep or staying asleep, poor quality of sleep without apparent cause.
Meloset® contains the active ingredient Melatonin which belongs to the group of hormones that are naturally produced in the body. Melatonin works by setting a natural biological clock of the body and thereby inducing a sleep.
It can also be used in the treatment of cluster headaches and may be effective in treating sleep disorders in blind people.
Dosage
Meloset® is available in the form of pills.
Take one pill orally with a full glass of water at a bedtime.
Take Meloset® with or without food. But it is recommended to have a meal before using the medication if you experience nausea.
Do not chew, split, or crush the pill prior to use.
Meloset® should be taken only for a period of 3 months (13 weeks) at a time.
For jet lag, it is recommended to take one pill at bedtime on the day you arrive at your destination and keep using the drug for 2-5 days.
Missing a dose
If you miss a dose you should take it as soon as you remember about your missing. If it is the time for the next dose you should continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of Meloset® to compensate the missed dose.
Overdose
If an overdose occurs and you are not feeling well, you should seek emergency medical attention or contact your healthcare provider immediately.
Storage
Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F) and away from excess moisture and heat. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date. Keep out of the reach of children.
