This election is one of the most heavily publicized elections and I love the attention the young people are giving to this important election. They have grabbed a hold of this election and have done everything they could to put there mark on determining the next president and vice president of the United States of America.

People were lynched, beaten, sprayed with hoses, threatened, their houses and churches were bombed so that we could vote. That should have been reason enough to vote.

Dr. Cornell West said that I support Obama but should he win, I am going to hold him accountable just like I held every other president accountable. I agree with Dr. West. We as black people, can not give a pass to Obama. We have to make sure he gets in and gets to work on righting this ship immediately. There is a lot of cleaning up to do, the current occupant really trashed this place.

The level of granularity to whom voted for a particular candidate continues to astound me. Age/Sex/Race/Religion/Economic status, etc. It’s cool to see.

This election also shows how much more this country has to go in the area of race relations. Some are voting for Obama only because he is black and others are not voting for him for the same reason. We have a long way to go America.
