Where am I?

Press 1 for english and 2 for spanish. Well what about 3-9 and that 0?

Why not 3 for chinese, 4 for japanese, 5 for french, etc. What makes the spanish so great that causes the others to be excluded. Now if your something other than english or spanish speaking then you can’t use the phone. Plain and simple. So much for the land of opportunity.

By the way, there are people in professional positions who went to high school and graduate from college with a degree, but can not get a job because they do not know spanish. They are american born.

know spanish, know employment…

no spanish, no employment.

I understand helping out spanish speaking people, but what about the others who speak another language? Also, because this person does not know spanish your going to deny them a job, instead of instituting a program to help spanish speaking people learn to speak english, thus keeping an employee and helping them to survive and thrive in this country.

Little Yellow Signs

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

I do not understand why people drive around with those Baby on Board signs in their windows. Ok, I do, but Angie, my wife, says that people do drive a bit more cautions when they see those signs. What the hell?

Now the way I see it, nothing is a given when a car accident takes place. There have been people injured in what appear to be minor fender benders and I have walked away unharmed after totaling a car. Yet you mean to tell me that a sign encourages people to be more cautions. If that’s the case we all need signs, they should be standard on all vehicles.?

People should drive safely whether a baby is on board or not, plain and simple. Yeah right if it was then people would do it. I’m going to get me a sign that says: Human on board, slow down stop driving like a bat out of hell, like you really rushing to get to work to actually do work. Yep the sign is going to contain every word in the previous sentence, shucks you have to slow down to read it. Heh!

Text Messaging Trends

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

Last night, as I was walking back into my living room, I heard Fox 5 news was going to air a story on texting trends. The question posed was: “Is it hurting your kids grades?” I walked out of the room, madder than a dog in a hubcap factory. I know what’s hurting them; I call it lack of focus.

You go to school to learn, to get an education, not he-haw around and play on a cell phone. Your kid needs to learn how to focus. Nobody is breaking their arm and making them create/check a text message.

Note to the parents how about pay attention to the road and stop causing accidents FOCUS on the road, if the shoe fits.

So see kids your lack of focus is not entirely your fault, but its no excuse either. Stop trying to fit in and as my mother says, “get your lesson.”
