Mrs. McCain

While at my in-laws, I listened to a message from Mrs. McCain regarding hurricane Gustav. I am glad that the hurricane is weakening but I was very troubled by a statement from Mrs. McCain.

Mrs. McCain said, "John" said that we should take off our republican hats and put on our american hats. I thought that republicans are americans and had the interest of americans at heart, but maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm being too analytical.

I think not!

If the american hat is the one you wear when it's time to help people, then who are you helping when you wear the the republican hat?
