President Bush’s Final State of the Union

Monday, January 28th, 2008

This evening President Bush delivered his final State of the Union address. Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius gave the Democratic response.

I, in turn, have my own response to a few of the Presidents remarks.

  1. “If American families have to balance their budget then so should the government.” Uh really… yeah way to make such a profound statement.
  2. “We will deliver justice to our enemies.“ Sounds like sending more tours of duty for our troops.
  3. Wait but before that he said, “We want American families to keep their homes” What good is a home when the one you would normally come home to is protecting another country instead of his/ her own. Now I am not against helping out others, but take care of home first is what I was always taught.
  4. The President continues to echo, “This enemy will be defeated.” At what cost I ask?

January 20, 2009 could be a very good day. I think we should have a party.

Forward this email and…

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

I am sooo tired of getting emails that tell me that A0L, Microsoft or whoever is going to give me $.04, $0.05, $0.07 or $0.32 for every person I forward an email about a baby that is suffering from a rare disease. What really grinds my gears are the people who send me a prayer and tell me that I will not receive a blessing unless I forward it to five people. What in the hell is that? What are people thinking? I will admit I was as clueless when introduced to the web in 1997 but I did a little thing called research and I stopped sending around this crap.

I found what I think is the perfect response to all the little chain letter emails that I have received.
