See You in 1984

Last night, as I was walking back into my living room, I heard Fox 5 news was going to air a story on texting trends. The question posed was: “Is it hurting your kids grades?” I walked out of the room, madder than a dog in a hubcap factory. I know what’s hurting them; I call it lack of focus.

You go to school to learn, to get an education, not he-haw around and play on a cell phone. Your kid needs to learn how to focus. Nobody is breaking their arm and making them create/check a text message.

Note to the parents how about pay attention to the road and stop causing accidents FOCUS on the road, if the shoe fits.

So see kids your lack of focus is not entirely your fault, but its no excuse either. Stop trying to fit in and as my mother says, “get your lesson.”

Why do we pour millions of dollars into the space program and yet we have thousands of homeless people living on our streets?

Why do professional athletes make millions of dollars and the president doesn’t?

Why do kids want to act like thug, but live like spoiled brats?

Why are grown men acting like thugs?

Why are parents having kids and becoming friends and not parents?

Why do rappers have so many guys on stage, but yet they talk about the number of women whom with they had relations? I mean how do you get so many girls hanging out with so many guys?

Why have I learned so much about the web in over just over a year at my present job, where I did not really learn a thing working for CSC and Lockheed Martin?

Why will I never work as a contractor again?

Why doesn’t the Washington Metropolitan Area send some people to Detroit or Buffalo and get some training on how to deal with snow, so that when it snows 1-3″ around here we don’t shut every thing down?

Why isn’t there enough money in the Wasington Metroplitan Area for equipment to handle snow removal?

If children are the future then why isn’t there enough money in the Washington Metroplitan Area for school books for kids?

If children are the future then why isn’t there enough money in the Washington Metroplitan Area properly heated/air conditioned schools?

Why are kids pacified so much now?

Why do they not keep the score in some little league games? Kid need to learn how to lose at a early age as well as win, and they keep score without the aid of a scoreboard?

Why do people still talk loud on their cellphone, like they have something that’s so impossible to obtain?

Why are some many people obsessed with the quick fix?

Why do so many people want something for nothing, but nobody wants to give?
