    Taxi!!!

    Wednesday, December 20th, 2006

Driving is something that requires skill, especially in regard to hand-eye coordination, but it also requires a great amount of attention. Now we all have and will make mistakes driving. Yet when a person from sits down in a cab, in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, that mistake factor increases exponentially.

What is it about you people that you choose to change lanes without even checking your mirrors? Why have mirrors? How about you break them off the car before you get in, because your not using them. I understand that sometimes riding around you may see a fare, but they are on the right side of the road. So why are you looking for fares driving in the left or center lanes.

Now New York, in my opinion, has some of the greatest cab drivers. They use common sense and are very attentive, plus they drive fast!!! Fast as in I’m going to get you there quick because the next fare is out there somewhere.

In conclusion, Washington, DC area cab drivers, I don’t like you guys that much and I hope that all your tips are from currency that was, at one point, dropped in some dog-poop.

    One Month

    Wednesday, December 13th, 2006

    The messages:

    • Peace and good will on earth
    • Help your neighbor.
    • Give to a charity.

Together or individually, even though I think they go hand-in-hand, they are all great principles to have, embrace and fulfill, whatever.

Well to that I say, bull butter.

We wait until the last month of every year to start in with this be nice/goodwill/give crap, hereinafter referred to as “the hook.” What about the other 11 months? Why are we as a nation not preaching this throughout the year?

It sends terrible messages. Kids figure to get their act together, late November or early December, so that they can get more/better gifts. If you wake up your given the best gift ever, LIFE!

Adults figure hey, I’ll give to the homeless, hello Captain Generous, when the holidays are over they will still most likely need your help so how about extending that good will.

Business owner are the great. They give you “the hook” yet in a very subtle way they down the other business so that you can give them your money, buying products from them and not “the other guy”. Wait I thought we should be giving more to the needy, not the greedy.

If you speak your mind this month, people tell you, that not nice it’s the holidays. Oh thank you for reminding me, I’ll wait till after New Years before I curse, fire, plot revenge, steal from, murder or tear down somebody.

Watch after New Years day, we go right back to not giving a dang about anybody. The only difference is that it’s not covered with “the hook”

I’m not going on any further, I’m going to watch High Fidelity.

Oh and The Royal Tenenbaums is a great movie.

    Debacle in the D…

    Monday, December 11th, 2006

Do I really want to call it a debacle, how about a let down or a bad night. I would call it either one of those if I were concerned about being PC in this day and age of “tender-hearted athlete.” Supporting you by buying gear and not missing a game, only to watch a 42-17 hind-parts whipping, unacceptable.

Down the line here we go:

    1. Tony Romo you were almost certain to hit a wall. Two very bad picks and some forced throws. Just because you’re from WI does not mean you have to make poor throws like Brett Farve(yes I just said that). Don’t try to be the next, whomever, be the first Tony Romo. Oh regarding that wall comment, show me the winner that I know you can be and “light it up” next week in the ATL.
    2. Keith Davis and Roy Williams, sigh. Mr. Davis lets work on our judgment. As for you Roy, Do you have Kelly on the mind? Is that why you can’t cover fat man with a walker. Ok you’re not the best cover safety, because you’re not at Oklahoma any more. This is the NFL, but did it take teams this long to figure it out or again, do you have Kelly on the mind. You use to hit hard, the crap you did tonight reach on a play that you should have blown the receiver up, unacceptable.
    3. Defense as a whole, way to just give up any and everything and then just lay down. You had one good series and that was the first one, then you went sleepy time…, unacceptable

I’m mad and tired I do not know what else to say accept get it together, that was the worst lost I have sat through and I remember and was cheering for the “D” way back when the went 1-15. However, tonight, with the talent on this team, ya’ll quit plain and simple. As a true fan that all I have to say.
