REDUCTION IN LANES: This sign is used on multilane highways to warn you of a reduction in the number of traffic lanes in the direction you are traveling. Be prepared to change lanes or to allow other vehicles to merge into your lane. Now there are two key instructions regarding this sign. Be prepared to change lanes, to me that means as soon as you see the sign, start trying to get over into the correct lane. Allow others vehicles to merge into your lane, to me that means let the people over who don’t appear selfish and are attempting to get over as soon as possible.

Well in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, people tend to ignore this sign and like signs. To them I say: You are not the only one who has some where to go. So merge into the correct lane ASAP and keep traffic moving. Continuing in the lane that is going to run out and riding damn near to the merge point is just selfish. Then you get mad when I, I mean somebody doesn’t let you over. Why the hell should I or anyone else let you over? Well to keep traffic moving like I said before but no not going to do it, reason why is that behind you are a bunch of tools who are trying to do the same thing, so basically I’ll get more enjoyment watching you get mad. Hope I didn’t make you late for a date or a meeting.
